Code of Conduct Helpline

The Code of Conduct Helpline has been created to handle the concerns and issues involving Toyota Material Handling Europe Group (“TMHE”) operations in Europe. Questions or concerns involving other Toyota Industries Corporation Group (“TICO”) operations should be directed to appropriate TICO personnel.

Our Commitment

As employees of a company within TICO, we should always conduct ourselves with integrity and comply with – and ensure that our companies comply with – all applicable laws and regulations.

With this commitment in mind, TMHE Executive Management has developed a Code of Conduct in collaboration with TICO to clearly outline and define the type of ethical behaviour that is required of every employee.

We are committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We assure individuals that they can and should report actual or apparent compliance violations confident in the knowledge that no retaliation or reprisals of any kind will be tolerated.

In situations where you prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, you are encouraged to use this helpline, hosted by a third party helpline provider, EthicsPoint. Similar to the Andon system as being one of the principal elements of the Jidoka quality-control method as part of the Toyota Production System, the helpline gives the ability, and moreover the empowerment, to call for assistance when a violation is found.

The Code of Conduct Helpline is optional to use and reporting can be made anonymously although it is preferred to be identified in order to better be able to protect the individual from retaliation and to investigate the matter.

The alerts will be logged so that they can be studied as part of continuous-improvement of our Compliance System.

You are encouraged to submit reports relating to violations stated in our Code of Conduct, as well as asking for guidance related to policies and procedure and providing positive suggestions and stories.

The information you provide will be sent to us by EthicsPoint on a totally confidential and anonymous basis if you should choose. You have our guarantee that your comments will be heard.

See the Ethicspoint FAQs for more information.
